This week our Year 7 boys football team had their first competitive fixture against St. Joseph's School. Our boys were understandably excited and it was a shame they came up against an excellent St. Joseph's team who were far superior on the day and ran out comfortable winners 13-0. A heavy loss is always hard to take but it will be a valuable lesson for our boys in handling defeat and recognising the importance or regular training and practice. We hope to see lots of Year 7 boys at football training after school next Monday as we seek to involve more boys in the squad and develop the skills and tactics needed to compete effectively.
