On Wednesday 20th March, 25 Year 9 students were invited by Brunel university to attend their STEM taster day. They were able to take part in 4 separate STEM workshops.

These included Maths problem-solving, designing helicopters, robotics, bridge building and Car Workshop for which Wexham School still holds the record. The students had to use their problem-solving skills to complete the tasks at hand. They were engaged, and had a fantastic day, resulting in Brunel congratulating Wexham.

  • The Brunel trip was very exciting! The staff there was amazing! I loved making the helicopters and competing who could make their helicopter fly the longest!’
  • ‘I enjoyed all the activities at Brunel especially making the bridges with chocolate! The staff there were amazing! Thank you for letting me join the trip’
