Our Year 11 boys football team played their second match of the week on Thursday and came up against their toughest opponents so far this season. It was an even contest for most of the match played at pace and highly competitive but Westgate were more effective in the attacking third and more solid in defence. After conceding a goal midway through the first half we were 1-0 down for most of the second half although not without possession and good opportunities to draw level. Sadly, we did not get back to 1-1 and with two well-worked goals late in the match the final score was Wexham 0 Westgate 3.
