For the second consecutive year we have a group of our Year 8 students participating in a project called 'Beyond the Baseline', this year working with athlete mentor Alex Slabinsky, former British men's number four tennis player.

The first session of three was a mixture of classroom and practical activities focussing on developing the children's people skills, mental toughness and leadership, all of which can be vital to success in all aspects of life.

The aim for the end of this project is for our students to successfully plan, lead and deliver an indoor tennis competition for a group of younger children from a local primary school. More details will be shared as this project develops.
